Hello, fellow art wanderers,
Let’s lift the curtain on a rather intriguing artist amidst us. Say hello to @minkelupa, an artisan who whispers tales of nature and ancestry through his intricate pieces. Drawing inspiration from both the tangible and the ethereal, he crafts using the gracious gifts of fallen wood — a nod to nature’s gentle cycles.
The river that flows through my creative practice is that our ancestors extend beyond the human and time. They are the mountain, the sand, and plants, they are more than human. My art practice is a ritual of reverence for co-creation. It’s a prayer of remembering indigenous ways and the earth that taught us how to be. All the wood used in my sculptures are fallen branches or from trees damaged and felled due to erosion.
